Delivering an EU market access interactive training workshop

Imparting in-house expertise and knowledge to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities of the EU market access environment

 

The challenge

Our client needed to increase their internal understanding and awareness of European market access specificities and challenges, and determine how they could optimise the EU access of their product portfolio to secure optimal uptake and reimbursement.

The objective was to introduce the challenges of market access in Europe, tailored for the requirements of different cross-functional teams.

The solution

After conducting a short survey to assess their EU market access understanding, we designed a modular, interactive European market access training solution that provided the client with bespoke content to fit the needs of the workshop delegates.

The two-day training workshop was split into educational learning components and interactive sessions to provide underpinning knowledge and to help embed the key learnings. Key modules were selected by the client and included:

  • An overview of the EU healthcare systems.
  • EU pricing and reimbursement.
  • ‘Meet the payer’ role-plays.
  • Market access for specialty medicines.

Key results

The interactive workshop provided an understanding of the healthcare systems, pricing and reimbursement processes in Europe (EU5) and raised awareness of the challenges of the EU market access environment, thus supporting our client to identify key opportunities for their product portfolio.

Value to the client

As a result of the workshop, our client and their cross-functional teams had an increased understanding and awareness of European market access challenges, along with an understanding of how they could optimise the European access and subsequent uptake of their product portfolio.
