Research Specialist
What we are looking for
We are recruiting a Research Specialist with a passion for applying and enhancing their healthcare research skills in an exciting and rapid-moving field. You will have a Bachelor’s degree (a Master’s degree is preferred) in health psychology, psychology, sociology, public health or life sciences. Internship, fellowship, or work experience in a health-related research setting is required. You will have knowledge of and experience in literature review methodology, qualitative and quantitative analysis and research design including data collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination. Fluency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as strong organizational skills and close attention to detail are essential, along with a teamwork ethos and an appetite for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will have a genuine interest in understanding, evaluating and communicating the patient perspective. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about many different diseases, health conditions and further develop your skills in a range of different research methodologies including qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research.
You will be involved in studies focused on the selection, development, validation, and use of patient-reported outcomes and other clinical outcome assessments (COAs). You will be involved in all stages of the development and execution of studies such as conducting literature reviews, developing study protocols (qualitative and quantitative), developing statistical analysis plans, preparing study documentation for ethical review, interviewing clinical experts and patients, qualitative coding and analysis, reporting results, and writing presentations, conference abstracts/posters and journal manuscripts. You will be involved in multiple projects simultaneously; therefore strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.
